Crossover Games Mac Crashes On Startup
Posted : admin On 05.01.2021- Since Mac OS X 10.10.x the Real Racing 2 app that I purchased on the Mac App Store crashes when I launch the game. - Nov 13, 2013 I've tried save mode, which cannot start up (Filevault is activated) and seems to end mid-way through. Sometimes the safe mode crashes immediately after the boot starts with a kernel panic (/sbin/launchd failed, errno 2); after resetting the NVRAM it won't panic. I've checked the hardware (T startup option, full check), which al seems to be OK.

what you were saying didn't make sense to me .. *now*
that I see you're talking about HOI3-FTM (and not just
HOI3), it all makes a bit more sense...
...now ..where were we with this -- another advocate
& I were poking at this with a hot stick a little while
ago, and it was being annoying then (why it currently
has a bronze medal) ... I just reinstalled it on what
is a new system build, and I'm still fixing/fitting bits
and pieces to it.. coincidentally enough, gstreamer-plugins
is one area I hadn't finished off...
..one of the questions, was if the gstreamer error you
were seeing actually mattered - answer ; it's a possibility.
As I only had gstreamer + base-plugins done, I ran into
like errors pretty quickly ; not an error, the libraries
weren't there and HoI3 was crashing at startup. As I fixed
things up, HoI3 stopped crashing, but I'm still missing a
plugin or two ; point is, if my fixing of things that was
also changing the gstreamer loadup could make HoI3 crash
or not, it's possible the error you see could be doing same...
....ummm... patches ; if you're telling me that when you
install the gamersgate version and it's patched to v1.4
already (actually 1.04 ) ..and... that you see no patches
on the gamersgate download page, I'm going to wonder just
what-the-hey is going on... that is, on my gamersgate
account page for HoI3, there's the installer stub, patch
for v1.2 and patch for v1.4 ..and... you do need to install
both patches. Is there a different gamersgate release?..(if
you don't know, I'll just email them and ask ;)..
..I'll keep getting gstreamer into shape and post back...

getting confusing... I'll get a C4 page hoisted for the
FTM release and have this thread moved there...

Based on Wine, CrossOver Games is a tool for Mac specialized in the virtualization of games created for the Windows operating system that do not have a version for OS X.
